Quick take: Moonriver

The Moonriver network is a fully decentralized delegated POS (Proof of Stake) parachain connected to the Kusama relay chain. Moonriver is a sister network of Moonbeam, and provides an environment to test new code under real economic conditions. New code, first ships to Moonriver, where it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once proven, the same code ships to Moonbeam on Polkadot.
