Roles

There are many different roles contributors can play within the Chainlink Community Wiki, all of them are important, and all of them help the Wiki grow and become ever more useful.

Below, is a list of Wiki roles you might like to consider. Don't worry though, if you want to contribute in a novel manner, that is not detailed on the list, just drop us a line and we'll help get you up and running with guidance and suggestions.

• The Editor: As pages grow through the addition of new information, they can often become hard to navigate. As an editor you can help improve sections by breaking up overly long sections into sub-sections, thereby improving overall flow, organization and readability.

• The Link Collector: The Link Collector: Sometimes you may not have the time to write an entirely new section for the Wiki. However, you can help improve existing sections, simply by collecting links and pasting them in the "Discussion" page of a given article. Add a sentence or two explaining their relevance, so that someone in the future can take the link and incorporate it into the page. Be sure to sign such suggestions with your user name and the date.

• The Chainlink Historian: Help us improve our content on the history of Chainlink and smart contracts. Help bring to life the journey that has brought the project to its current point.

• The Deep Sea Diver: You may not have an expertise in a particular area, but you decide to adopt a page you feel passionate about, and build it from the ground up, reading every reference you can find. It's a long, slow process but can be really gratifying to develop mastery over a specific topic!

• The Photo Curator: Many of our pages could be improved simply through the addition of images and drawings.

• The Bridge Builder: Pick a dead end page and create internal links to related Chainlink content within the body of the page or by adding pages to the "See also" section.

• The Proofreader: Fix small typos and grammatical errors as you go. Or select a random page and correct any mistakes you might find.

• The Community Organizer: Help us grow the project by growing the community around it.

• The Supporter: Help to train our volunteer team. Help everyone learn how to edit pages, to do more advanced editing, and how to more effectively create content.

• The News Reader: Help keep Chainlink wiki fresh by updating its pages based on news and articles you read.
